- Stay healthy
- Keep the fight and fire alive and well
- Keep working to improve on D
- Rebounding! Rebounding! Rebounding!
- Have BG continue working with her 1 on 1 coach
- Be prepared for a dog fight next year.
I don't think any drastic changes need to be made to the roster, but they do need everyone to put in work to improve on the little things.

The key for Phoenix is to stay healthy. Bad health can derail the best plans in the world for sports teams. So give me the truth Phoenix fans. Taylor was held together this season with tape, rubber bands, and spit?

Agreed. BG in year 3 should be amazing. Health is the biggest. Especially Penny, DT, and BG. Rebounding is another. BG in year 3 should be averaging atleast 10. The defense will improve and it needs to improve. Another thing is the bench. Kobryn has to get better conditioned, Anete needs more experience.

It's possible she was.

there really isn't much off season tinkering that needs to be done. unless you want to add 1 or 2 to the bench. Bias and AJZ are expendable. everyone else provided spark when needed... Kobryn came through tonight. i feel like maybe we can't rag on Bias too much because she got drafted to a really stacked team all the way down player 7... everyone was healthy and if there was foul trouble there were several people ready to go ahead of her. she just didn't have an opportunity. she showed moments like maybe she could potentially contribute but she has got to work on not fouling. honestly i think that's the main reason she didn't get more playing time even in garbage minutes. so, you can keep Bias and try again with her or let her go... but then you'd have to fill her spot with someone.
I would love for Jasmine James to come back. she really showed moxy and was helpful and improving in that Finals run last year. injury was the only thing keeping her off the roster this year. Bias or AJZ could potentially be cut, but it isn't super necessary, and that would make room for James. although one would argue, why mess with a solid team that has proven they can take it all? |

Step One:
Tank time. DT takes a few trips to the dentist. Penny take the year off. BG takes the season to pursue a career in long boarding. Dupree spends next season trying to find her hair. Bonner is rewarded for her unselfishness by getting her role of 2012 back.
Step Two:
Acquire Stewart or Loyd
Step Three:
Take back the championship in 2016 |

It seems like Bonner is back in the good graces of the PX family but if she still on the trade block from last season I'll offer you (a healthy) Carson and Cash for Bonner.
Also If I'm PX i'd sign Mitchell in a heartbeat, she'll have court time with Phillips and Taylor in a month or so, and is going to offer PX more than Bias ever will.

This!!!!!! I think James gets a chance in camp and if Bias and Anete ( who I feel is pretty good) have gotten better, that we take all 3.
Also, Anete has been inconsistent. Her ability to hit 3's when ON is 😮

The biggest thing is stay healthy. It's not often talked about, but is the other thing that put the Mercury ahead of other teams this season: Their core five players only missed a combined 2 out of 170 games. They are unlikely to have that kind of health luck two seasons in a row.

That ties in with being an older team. Older players get hurt more often and take longer to recover than younger players.

Mercury need to capitalize on the talent they have next season because Penny will only go down from here and Diana isn't getting any younger. Britney will soon take the reigns of the Mercury in the next two years or so from Diana. Lynx and Mercury are both lineups consisting of aging vets and a few young stars. Diana, Penny, Seimone and Janel won't be playing those kind of minutes in the coming years.

Yeah, first off they'll try to bring the whole core back (not a certainty yet, due to free agency). Then there's some work to be done on the bench, which was a bit ropey at times this year (although a vast improvement on last season), and involved Euros who might be less inclined to show up next year due to EuroBasket Women.
You have to keep working on that second layer of the team to protect against the likely possibility of not being as healthy next year. And ideally to develop replacements for when the older players call it quits entirely. |

so the Mercury took over Kobryn's rights from Seattle so that means she finishes the contract she had with them? what's that another year at most, maybe? or just for the season we just finished? |
