Is Maya remaining unsigned a concern for Lynx fans at this point, or is it merely viewed as a formality? With, what appears to be, the trend for players wanting to play closer to 'home', I wonder if Maya has thought about playing in Atlanta? McCoughtry for Moore trade? |

@LynxRadio should we be concerned the Lynx haven't signed Maya?
Alan Horton @lynxRadio
@yochoua No. And she may already be under contract. Either way there should be no concern whatsoever.

Seeing this makes me feel my opinion was maybe right. I'm assuming that she's been signed for a long time and the league is taking forever to announce it because it literally makes no sense. She's been in the states for almost two months I would assume, if you definitely want to come back why wait until literally the start of training camp to sign a contract? |
I thought they were going to announce it last week, but I'm now feeling like they might wait until they move over to the new Mayo Clinic Square and have it there when it opens. |
I guess... but you'd think that the team would want to announce that Maya was coming back ASAP in order to sell season tickets. *shrug*

(In)Visibility
An article by Maya Moore

Last month, we made history together: Jordan Brand Classic hosted its first-ever All-American game for high school girls. It was a big statement but moreover, it was a tangible investment in the women’s game and the visibility surrounding it. We’re committed to the growth of this game, and will continue to provide resources for the female athlete and fan. I’m anxious to see how this evolves beyond the game — the shoes, the apparel and beyond. These young girls are the future of the WNBA. I want to make sure that they continue to become the reason the league is what it is — why we are role models, why we are great businesswomen. I want to keep them inspired. |

Hmmm?! So I read this article while at work today and raced through it, so I may have missed a few details. But a few take always. Certainly have increased respect for maya. She gets it. Feels the need to give to the league and young girls coming up, not just take.
Also, she mentioned a lot of names in that article, Uconn, Comets, he'll even Tenn. players were mentioned too. Swoopes Cooper, TT, arcain, sue bird, Tina Charles. Conspicuously absent was Minnesota. Is maya itching for a trade! She wants people to see the W for its outstanding ability and off the court character, then maybe she's itching to come to Chicago!! Maya and EDD together. Now that is elevating/raising the bar on the court and off!
Woohoo! Welcome to the Sky Maya Moore!

She mentioned Augustus multiple times. And if she is commenting on empty seats, Chicago is probably not somewhere she wants to go...

That doesn't sound like a player who is leaving Minnesota.

A printer? Really? I don't know how things are in Minnesota or Atlanta or Vegas or wherever she has been since coming back from China, but where I'm from, even the most podunk crappy-ass library branch has computers and at least one printer. So, for that matter, does any halfway decent hotel.
Pull the other one, Miss Maya, it's got bells on.

Looks like Maya found her printer.
