Very interesting article about one of my favorite players ever. In the strangest way I really do think that profession would suit her. I wish her the best!

Sari Noga, who played for the Gophers and graduated earlier this year, majored in mortuary science.

Well it's not something you read about everyday, I think it's really cool that she is thinking about her life after basketball. And you always hear about people wanting to give to others, and this is another way, for those who believe their loved ones are being placed in their final resting place want the person who is preparing their loved one to take their job seriously, and of course honoring the person who has passed on.

Will this thread never die? It should have been dead and buried by now. Someone put it out of its misery. How can we kill it?

UPDATE:

Sylvia enjoys knitting and still wants to be a mortician after she retires from playing! Wink

Quote:
Today, at 32 years old, Sylvia is already preparing for her next career — hopefully as a mortician. When she's not balling, she's taking online classes for a degree in mortuary science in New York. Inspired by a negative experience with her grandmother’s death during her childhood, Sylvia hopes to work on hair, makeup, and dress for the deceased. "My aim is to help the family get an accurate look at the individual for one last time," she says.

Quote:
Here's another thing you might not expect from one of basketball's toughest centers: she enjoys knitting. While she didn't start playing organized basketball until eighth grade, Sylvia has been knitting since she was 6.

she has taken out a few players including BG twice, once with the eye and the other with the foot of BG. The 1st time she took out BG she missed the Title game and the second time she missed getting the league mvp last year.

It does appear that she is getting a head start drumming up clients for her post WNBA career. It seems to me that she often tries to hurt players. Perhaps she might consider being a Dentist? Seriously--- Dirty player in my book. Evil or Very Mad
