As you know, the Mercury won their 13th consecutive game last night. They are the 4th team in WNBA history to have a winning streak that long or longer, following the 1998 Comets, 2001 Sparks, and 2010 Storm. What do those three teams have in common? They all went on to win the WNBA championship that year!
However, the Lynx started the season 7-0. Every WNBA team that has started a season 6-0 or better has gone on to the WNBA finals that season.
Which of these trends will prevail?

I think the Lynx have the upper hand. They have a better and deeper team than they had last year where they dominated. Now that they are healthy and have the core of their defense back in Brunson, they will be tough to beat. It's so easy to see current trends and forget about just how ridiculously good the Lynx were when fully healthy.
I predict another Lynx/Dream finals.
