I think it'd be a good addition. He and Chandler would be a very tough (and young) inside tandem. I hope the deal gets done.

Nene to Chicago would be a great trade for us (Chicago). After losing Curry and Antonio Davis, we desperately need some size. If Milwaukee can get Magloire for Desmond Mason and a bad draft pick, we should be able to get Nene without giving up too much.

I know that this is a trade that has been talked about amongst Bulls fans since the preseason started (along with a trade for Magloire, which obviously isn't gonna happen anymore), but did you read somewhere that there were serious talks about this (other than good ole' Sam Smith rambling on about trades that will never happen)? If not, Nene might be a player that the Bulls go after this summer, not someone that they trade for now.

With less than one week remaining for the Denver Nuggets to sign Nene to a contract extension, it appears the fourth-year power forward will become a restricted free- agent in the summer.

Well, if he's gonna become a resticted free agent at the end of the summer, then the Nuggz probably aren't in any hurry to trade him, right? Maybe they'll even pick up his 5th year option (instead of trading him). In that case, he could have two more seasons in Denver still playing on the cheap under his rookie contract.

So Denver could either trade him when he's a resticted free agent or work out a sign-and-trade if he plays out his contract and becomes an unrestricted free agent. Either one of those options is smarter than trading a decent big-man with two years left on his rookie contract.

Unless he has attitude problems or is causing other types of problems, I expect Nene to be in Denver for at least this entire season.

Either way, hopefully the Bulls have a crack at him in the future.
