Wow, looking at these old photos is making me feel OLD! Damn, how fast time has gone by since the league first began. It seems like yesterday! This thread inspired me to look back and research you early rebkell pioneers that started posting on this website. I give you people credited for being able to last ten years posting here without blowing a gasket and punching a hole in your computer screen! Laughing

It's all in good fun!

Now for more throwback candids

As ESPN's Keith Olbermann would've said, "Ohhh, I fell on my keys!" Smile

And....

Very Happy
Who is the Merc player who just got pied on?

I sure wish more WNBA players would get the "pie on the face" treatment! Laughing

From the 2008 WNBA Finals...

Becky Hammon with the ball, being triple-teamed by Plenette Pierson, Taj McWilliams-Franklin, and (I guess) Katie Smith.

Well, not about a WNBA player, but at least the uniform is a throwback! Wink

Yes, that is Dwight Howard!

I know, right? It's not like Tiffany McCall's jersey would even fit him.

Honoring the 2005 WNBA Champion Sacramento Monarchs, during a visit on May 2006.

Left to right: Yolanda Griffith, Erin Buescher, Ticha Penicheiro, Hamchetou Maiga-Ba, President George W. Bush, Kara Lawson. (I'm guessing the partially-obscured person standing behind Kara is either Nicole Powell or Olympia Scott)

Kayte Christensen, who is now a sideline reporter and analyst during Sacramento Kings telecasts.

The last time I heard of Kayte (besides her reporting with the Kings) was back in September 2014, when she was arrested for DUI. Shocked

Funny Razz

I was also reminded of the sandwich named after Becky Hammon at New York's Carnegie Deli called 'The Hammon, Egg and Cheese'... Can't find a picture of it, and the picture I saved is stuck on one of my old computer's hard drive.. Confused

I wonder if that sandwich still exists..
Question

It took me several tries to remember my login info. But this thread is awesome, so I had to post a reply.

I'm going to need some identification help with this one...

I can easily spot Cynthia Cooper (on the far right).

The Utah Starzz player #27 looks like Lady Hardmon (later known as Lady Grooms).

But I am not familiar about the others. Is the Monarchs player (on the far left) Bridgette Gordon? And is that Robin Roberts in the middle?

Help, anyone?

That is Bridgette Gordon, Lady Hardmon, and Robin Roberts.

The Rocker is Michelle Edwards. The Mercury is Jennifer Gillom. The Sting is Andrea Stinson.

Michele Timms gets a lift! But who are the other Mercury players in the photo?
