I haven't seen a mention anywhere, but happy 21st anniversary to "The Shot."

At least that's what my Facebook mention says.

Since former player Yelena Leuchanka has been in the news lately, here is a look back at a more innocent time --- specifically, September 2010 --- when she challenged an Atlanta TV station host named Brandon Rudat to some basketball drills.

Then he returns the favor by having her host his show! Very Happy

Quote:
[Reading from a teleprompter on a story about reality-TV personality Heidi Montag]

[Yelena:] She's a reality star, but the reality is her boobs are too big!

Quote:
Rudat: Have you ever heard of a G-cup?

Yelena: No. I mean, if you can't hold four dogs, get a leash!

Wink

And here is another local TV interview with her...

From either the 1997 or 1998 season, Yolanda Moore is the Comets #33 player. I don't know who is the Cleveland Rocker behind her.

Regarding the photo from the Vicky Bullett card, I'm not sure who the Sting player wearing #00 is. Maybe Tracy Reid? Although she wore a single-zero, instead of a double-zero.

An early "Wayback Wednesday" item: from the archived WNBA website, here's a blog from Megan Vogel, dated April through May, in 2007.

The earliest post starts on the bottom, then scroll up to see later postings from her.

https://www.wnba.com/archive/wnba/voices/megan_vogel_blog_.html

If you're wondering what Megan is doing nowadays, she is currently an assistant coach with the Univ. of Wisconsin - Green Bay.

I always see that move and think "DeMya Walker". Every other league called it a travel and now you see it every other league being used. As a matter of fact the entire Sacramento Monarchs team had that side step/euro down . Yo , Demya, Maiga-Ba, Ticha , Tangela #TheSideSteppers

Article on the Mystics various uniform styles over the years.

Quote:
Designs among WNBA teams are a lot more simplistic and standardized across teams, especially quite recently. But every jersey era deserves its moment nevertheless.

So let’s take a quick look at the uniform styles Washington wore since their humble beginnings to their current era as WNBA champions.
