Bill Maher mentioned Sulu and Swoopes in his opening monologue of his HBO show tonight.

Bill's joke was George Tekei said he didn't want to come out because he was afraid he wouldn't get any roles but then he remembered he hadn't worked since 1968.

Then Maher said, "Also gay this week is 3 time WNBA MVP Sheryl Swoopes. It was revealed in an article in the new issue of No Shit! magazine. Which also revealed the fact that Yao Ming is Chinese"

Also on VH1's Best Week Ever they showed a couple of clips of Sheryl playing before going to commercial with the voiceover saying "You may have told the world that you're gay, Sheryl Swoopes, but one of these people are having The Best Week Ever" (Apparently "Weathermen" are having the Best Week Ever. The White House on the other hand, not so much...)

another shout out to Swoopes on Saturday Night Live tonight. Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch were portraying The Indigo Girls and they had a bunch of dogs with lesbian names, one of which was "Sheryl Swoopes".
