USC's 1st Doubles Pair, of Sabrina Santamaria and Kaitlyn Christian had compiled a 34-0 record this season, winning the Pac-12 Doubles Title, as well as the NCAA Indoors Title just were handed their first loss of the season against Stanford in the NCAA Team Tournament. Stanford's Kristie Ahn and Nicole Gibbs bounced back from an 8-1 loss earlier this season to the formerly unbeaten pairing to defeat Santamaria/Christain 9-8 (2) to give Stanford the much vaunted doubles point in their NCAA Tournament Matchup.

I'm impressed that a doubles team managed to go unbeaten for so long, and to only have their first loss just now is truly an accomplishment.

Stanford is currently attempting to knock off 5th Seeded USC out of the Tournament. (USC steamrolled Stanford 6-1 in Pac-12 Play.)

Stanford defeated USC 4-3 in a shocking reversal of the regular season thrashing handed out by USC.

The Match took under just five hours to finish--with the clincher provided by Ellen Tsay.
