The Question is which Mystics team will show up. Some nights they play really well and other nights not so much. Nearly all the teams in the league have been playing extremely up and down. I would expect that from the really young teams like Tulsa, Conn and Washington but every one else is that way to. The most consistent teams have been the lynx which have played well with a few exceptions and NY & LA played very poorly most of the time. I love this season. you just don't know what will happen in any game. You have to watch them all. ( Hey wait, that's a good thing)

Forecast for the DC area, sunny with a chance of broken ankles:

My current MVP front-runner Erika DE Souza is about to take the floor.

Lovely halftime spot on Mo and Mike Currie. He was everpresent at Duke games while Mo was playing.

I met Mike during Monique's first game at Duke..maybe the exhibition. He was sitting by himself across the stadium - and Monique was already my favorite player. She was breathtaking in her body control on the floor. So I saw this guy sitting by himself who was the spitting image of Monique and made my way over to him, sitting down. I'm like "are you Mo's dad?" As he nodded I blurted out "she's already my favorite player!" After we chatted it up a minute, I invited him to sit with a group of the most rabid DWB fans behind the bench. And he was right there from that point onward - a true crowd favorite. "Bend your knees!" was his refrain whenever she (or a teammate) shot free throws.

He's a great dad to both Monique and her sister Melea and loved being a grandfather to Melea's baby.

Atlanta was lucky Washington could never put together a large enough run in the second half to put together a lead. Atlanta needs to stop with the 2nd half let up! Still and good road win, though!

Didn't watch the game, but Hartley was the leading scorer and was second in assists and one of three players with a positive +/- heading into the fourth quarter...any reason she didn't play in the fourth quarter?

I don't know, and everyone around me at the game was asking the same question. Also, why no Meesseman in the fourth until it was too late?

Hartley got a busted lip...I would have put her back in sooner but I assume that she was in too much pain. I have no idea about Meesseman, she wasn't in foul trouble...she did have four turnovers but so do Lawson and Ruffin-Pratt...so I don't know Question

Maybe Thibault just wanted a veterin in at the end. Cooper, on the other hand, wanted a rookie.

Hartley is moving ahead of Sims and Schimmel for the all rookie team.

True. Sims shooting has been horrendous and Shoni has had a few off games...still trying to get used to the arrival of Dumerc I guess... Hartley has really been on her game lately and I would put her second to Ogwumike, then Dantas, Shoni, McBride, and then Sims (if only for her defense).

We've always struggled in the third quarter. Sometimes it seems like halftime is the worst possible thing that can happen to this team - we should just skip it and keep playing.

Yeah, it seems like they loose all momentum coming out of halftime....but its great they have been able to pull out the win in crunch time. Just wish they wouldn't make it so stressful for the fans, we need more games like the Chicago blowout....stress free Laughing

Refs couldn't stop blowing their whistles in the second half. Maybe it was deserved but made for a ragged game.

That was a weird clear path foul called near the end of the game, and certainly quelled any thought that the Mystics could pull it out. Did they show a good view of that foul on Live Access? Was it warranted?
