I can't help but wonder if those guys ever gave Coop a chance and how much did their attitudes towards women's basketball play in their acceptance of him. If they do get Karl in their, he's going to be like a warden. Those players should talk to others that have played for Karl. If they did, they would have been busting their asses to keep Coop in there.
I think they gave up on the organization, long before Coop came along._________________ (¯`v´¯

Coop deserved better.
I remember talking with him about Indy's search for a coach and asked what George Karl was doing. He said George Karl was one of those guys that doesn't respect the Women's game...
I wonder if he'd come back to L.A. or if there was some drama that would make him not want to.
He's welcome to come to INDY!!

Karl is not known for respecting his player either. He's had a couple of teams shut down on him_________________ (¯`v´¯

from the sounds of the reports in the local papers, it sounds like the players like Coop and want to keep him. It sounds like GM Kiki wants to keep him too -- after all, Kiki brought Coop in with the intention of making him head coach.
The problem, they say, is the owner. Who is an idiot. Who had vastly overinflated expectations after making the playoffs last year and adding K-Mart. And who now thinks the coaching is the problem.
It's silly. But Coop will end up with another head coaching gig at somepoint. This will just be a temporary setback.

George Karl is probably the only man in the world who could vilify Ray Allen as a slacker and malcontent. Ray Allen.
Karl poisoned his Milwaukee teams with his petty insecurities. The only player who ever flourished under him was Gary Payton, and that's just because the two of them were cut from the same cloth--sniveling blowhards. They fed off of each other's neuroses.

What going to happen to Coop? Is he out of a job? Well, Denver just took their name off of Ray Allen's list. It was rumored that they were going to make a run at him, when he becomes a free agent._________________ (¯`v´¯

Coop, a guy who Kiki still likes is staying it seems. It's official now:
Quote: |
The Denver Nuggets have named George Karl head coach, team General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe announced today. Interim Head Coach Michael Cooper will resume his previous role as assistant coach.
The Nuggets just became more attractive to free agent-to-be Michael Redd.
Yet that's not why they've hired George Karl.
Redd is an unabashed member of Karl's fan club, but Denver has turned to Karl because the struggling Nuggets need veteran experience and a hard edge. Karl, at 53, offers both.
