An update on the NWSL attendance. Let's just say Portland is dominating and completely blowing out the other 7 teams in terms of attendance. Kansas City & DC are doing well, while Western NY is drawing ok. The other 4 teams I'd be worried about. Really surprised Seattle isn't drawing well considering the MLS' Sounders draw nearly 40,000 a game. The Reign play at Starfire stadium(capacity 4,500).

1. Portland - 12,857
2. Kansas City - 4,378
3. Washington DC - 4,268
4. Western New York - 3,632
5. Boston - 2,242
6. Seattle - 1,949
7. SkyBlue NJ - 1,751
8. Chicago - 1,417
NWSL Average - 3,981(w/o Portland - 2,770)

Washington Spirit is 4,256
League Average is 3,980

I got these numbers for the BigSoccer forums. There's an attendance tracker thread keeping updates on their attendances.

Washington Spirit officially eliminated from playoff contention with Western New York's win tonight. Better luck next season Washington!

Also--Seattle can't catch Sky Blue for first---Sky Blue FC has two more teams to eliminate to clinch the first playoff spot.

and it seems likely that the two expansion teams to join in 2014 will be in Toronto & Indianapolis. The NY Red Bulls of MLS are rumored to be buying the NJ SkyBlue also. Houston & Southern California have also been speculated as having interested buyers for 2014.

The championship game is being played in WNY Flash's home in Rochester, NY(Sahlen's stadium). Reports have the game already 70% sold-out with a very large group of Portland Thorn fans flying out for the game.
