The sad state of American boxing is evident today. No American man made the medal round in any weight class. Only 17 year old middleweight Claressa Shields kept us from being shut out altogether.

I don't like Boxing, but she has a compelling life story & I was very happy she won!

Great story about two Brazilian brothers who rose out of poverty to win two Olympic medals. One is in the final and the other one will fight later on today, but is guaranteed a bronze at least. Boxing is still an amateur sport mostly at the Olympic level.
