I have really enjoyed Angel during these games. She has impressed me with her hustle and defense, with offense coming afterwards.

Dunno if the US is this good, or if China just decided to go all badminton after the first quarter.

Simply amazing that Diana's hip has healed so well and so quickly to be playing all these minutes. Apparently there are miracles!

Yeah an injury improved after a good amount of rest. Totally miraculous

If Craig Sager's report is to be believed, the plan is to play her well over 30 minutes the rest of the way...

I have no idea why the USA would require such a plan for any player. Bird + Whalen for well over 30 combined is about the extent of the team's requirements.

Down here we're getting different commentary. (The Amaechi version)

Too much time talking in the library, not enough time working on their defence.

If you din't know the US team you might get a sense of hope in that first quarter, but yeah, they are that good.

Possible triple-double in the making: Candace Parker with 6-5-4 in less than 10 minutes.

If they're paying, sure.

I guess the BBC and your broadcasters set up a cooperation system where we'd share commentators.

I can't stand Amaechi, and the guy working with him - Mike Carlson - is a decent colour guy on American football, but a pretty horrible main commentator. His butchery of the Russian, Czech etc. names in this tournament has been painful.

Sometimes I think Candace needs to be told specifically what her role is by Geno. She tries to do too many things sometimes.
