Kobe bryant has 11 early points in the first 4 minutes of the semi/final. He is old but not done yet

USA USA USA!

I'm still pissed that Russia didn't beat Spain...

I can't stand Spain after seeing that photo the team took in Beijing simulating the Chinese eyes! Rolling Eyes

Down 11 late in the third quarter, Argentina has drawn even with six minutes to play...

Wonderful back and forth in the closing minutes. Ginobili's corkscrew layup gave Argentina the 77-76 lead with 43 seconds left, but Shved countered with a three-pointer to put Russia ahead for good and Fridzon tacked on a breakaway layup to make it 81-77. Game ended with Argentina swarming the referees, irate about the lack of a call on their final offensive possession. Russia's first medal in men's basketball since the breakup of the Soviet Union...

Team USA is up 35-27 after the 1st quarter. Durant has 12 already.

Durant was everything. In the second half, James and Paul made big plays. Kobe's defense on Carlos Navarro in the second half was key. Spain could've really used Marc Gasol, even though his brother stepped up in the third quarter.

Congratulations. Watching them celebrate reminds me that they are so simple. Laughing I could never be a dumb jock.

Watching them celebrate was funny... The women were so composed during their celebration, while the men were just out there. Either way you chose to celebrate, congrats to USA basketball.....

The women's team is a lot older than the men's. Half of the women's team are older than Tyson Chandler, the second oldest player on the men's team.

Yup. Their youngest player is a teenager while the women's youngest is 23 years two months.
