No according to the article posted above she is out with a stress fracture.

Quote:
Notably absent from the team is superstar (and former Phoenix Mercury player) Yuko “Shin” Oga who is nursing a stress fracture in her foot. Oga is undoubtedly the leader of the team and its killing her not to be able to play or spend time in Phoenix – a city that is dear to her heart.

It's a preseason game against a pretty much garbage team. I wouldn't get too excited. Smile

I think that was in response to the "MIP" post.

I would imagine so, I wouldn't think they would bring two different teams, although there are 5 players who haven't played so far, they may play more against LA, so perhaps a little different line up/rotation.

Interestingly I was looking and it seems there are only 4 players on the roster that were on the World Championship team, I wonder why there was so much turnover, I know Yuko Oga is injured, or there others that are injured, or is Japan trying to go a new direction, perhaps giving their younger players a chance to prove themselves.

Surprisingly the Mercury haven't played 6 people, DeWanna Bonner, Candice Dupree, Alexis Hornbuckle, Amanda Johnson, Dymond Simon, Diana Taurasi. I understand DeWanna, Candice and Diana, you could probably even add Alexis to the list of players who don't really need another look, but what does this mean for Amanda and Dymond? It seems a bit odd to not play these two players to see how they do against players other than those in the Mercury training camp and the practice squad.
