If a team makes an accepted offer to a Restricted Free Agent, and the previous team matches. Can they still work out a trade with the new team?

I know in one sport if they sign elsewhere and it's matched they can't be traded to that team that signed them.

DTS,
I was wondering the same thing. Is it like poker? One team finally says, "I fold"

I want Schu from you. What do you want in return Slovy? Let's bypass the GMs and get this done!

She's a restricted free agent. To get her, offer 70K+ and the Fever might not match it.
I like Kelly. I wouldn't mind her staying "here" in Indy.
I think Conn will make an offer.

I'd give her up for Taj - sign and trade?

If a team matches an offer from another team, the player cannot be traded to the team whose offer was matched for one year.

Sometimes the teams will make an arrangement under which the team with matching rights will sign the player and then trade her to the other team. That's sign-and-trade deal you sometimes hear about on SportsCenter.

Thanks Pilight, that's what I thought might be the case.
