Anyone taking bets on whether Sheryl explores free agency a little more strenuously now?

Anyone believe that Swoopes is not one of the two designated core players on that team? She would have to really stir it up to leave there. For one, both of her parents are there and I think that is important to SS.
I, for one, am glad to see a change in the coaching staff in Houston. I also think that Coach Scott's sister was the better coach, between them.

is swoopes coming back? is she going somewhere is? are those two simply splitsville? all questions, no answers. what's up with swoopes anyway? she's already bankrupt, and it's clear those tub-and-tile-cleaner commercials aren't gonna bail her out.
a houston bud who wondered aloud if the announcement would be about scottie said she got an odd xmas card frm the rockets/comets organization. she thought it was interesting that the premier players on the card were yao and tina - no swoopes. what's up with that?

did the houston chronicle not even have a story on scotty's departure?
no dialog whatsoever about the might comets? about what we can expect of swoopes this coming season? what's up with that?
geez. it's been just eight years, but it feels like 20, the way things have changed about the w, and the way longtimers react to it (not everybody, obviously, judging by this board). but i can't tell you how many people i know, original fans, now say "i haven't been following it the way i used to." that makes me nervous.

The novelty has worn off. That's to be expected. I wouldn't worry too much.

It's The Comets' suckiness that's probably driving the next level. If they start winning again they'll get some excitement.
