Just as I was going to remark on the good defensive scheme E. Guinea was employing, Brazil scored a goal!

I think Brazil should get some style points for the goals they have been scoring. Erika's goal was pure class, a defender is not supposed to have that kind of ball control. Having said that, what a crappy 1st half that was. Kind of made me doubt they would have such a comfortable lead in the 2nd. OTOH, Guinea did have 6 Brazilians on the team, so that explains it a little bit, especially with how they were able to make Marta a non-factor.
I'm assuming the US will play extra hard to avoid an early meeting with Brazil.

Sportscenter this morning seemed like a good 20 minutes was spent on recapping Wednesday's matches & previewing the quarterfinals. Very nice ESPN!! Now can the WNBA get a little more attention, too!
