Just out of curiosity, what's wrong with keeping the mock drafts together in the one thread?

No, not a big deal. I was just wondering.
Seems more logical to me to keep it all together (not that v4.0 is the first deviation from that, obviously. Not picking on you or anything)

I'm guessing it gives people a fresher look at the updated mock draft without their previous choices being second guessed.

I could see Phillips dropping to the Mystics but it would be a heck of a longshot. Laughing The Mystics probably will have trade-up (Ajavon + #11).

I thibk they're getting closer to reality, but my gut feeling is still that Tulsa will do something nonsensical.

I don't really see how they can.
Either they take Cambage, or they trade her pick for something pretty substantial.
They'll have to really outdo themselves to stuff this one up IMO.

Excluding drafting Moore & Cambage there's a lot of room for 8 other WNBA GM's to do something nonsensical in the first round. There's a first time WNBA drafter in Chicago. Wink

Not sure why MN would take a shooting guard in the 2nd round. Seems to me they might look at a PG prospect or hedge their bets with another post option rather than bringing in an SG. That is unless said SG is a 3-point specialist of the highest order, and if that were so she would likely be gone in round 1, lol.

Ok, who did Jeff House draft while with the Liberty or Mystics? There's a difference from scouting a player and actually having the final say selecting the player.

Does it make a difference who the Lynx select in the 2nd rd of the 2011 WNBA Draft, the Lynx will have a hard enough time squeezing in their two 1st round picks on a 11 player roster.

She's considerably better than Tillis, but I agree IMO she's probably more of a SF in the pros. And defense at either spot is a question.

A trade down by Chicago for Pedersen, Dunlap or Breland?

Lol, Krystal Thomas in the first round. The kid will be lucky if she's even called in the third. A little shocked people don't have Chastity Reed going in the 2nd round.

Why does everyone seem to think Atlanta won't take Vandersloot? What is their weakest position....by far?

You are right again,Myrtle. Atlanta needs a high performance driver to drive that NASCAR team.

I hope they don't but I think you're right. If Kelly Miller is healthy they have her and Lehning. Not a pair of world beaters as it is.

I think the Dream could draft Vandersloot or Breland.

Ok, I am not one who has Atlanta picking a post, as I agree they need a big upgrade at point. But one thing that sticks in my mind is that they haven't signed either Yelena or Alison back to their teams as backups. Also, I don't know but they might be missing either/or both Sancho and Erika for the Olympic qualifying tournament, but I could be completely wrong there, so maybe they want an insurance that they have someone as a post? But I could be wrong.

People remember Marynell wasting last year's first round pick.
