Police said at the time that a number of items appeared to have been stolen from the home before the fire was set. A spokesperson for the Lakeland Fire Department said it appears the fire had been set in several areas of the trailer. In both incidents neighbors at the Kings Manor Mobile Home Park claim they saw nothing.

The fire was one of a series of arson attacks on the LGBT community in the South this summer.

In the course of a month fires were set at a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender-friendly church in Middlebrook, Virginia, gay bars in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Brownsville, Texas.

In a letter to FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs says the bureau should investigate all of the arsons collectively. (story)

Because we all know that trailor parks have SOOOOO much land in between the homes, how could anybody possibly have seen anything? Rolling Eyes
