...to rehash Cam's infamous dismissive quote from last season... Razz

Quote:
Laimbeer said he won't offer forward Amisha Carter a contract and hasn't decided what will happen with forward Ayana Walker or guard Isabel Sanchez. If they're not re-signed, they go on the market as unrestricted free agents. Guard Merlakia Jones, who signed a one-year contract last spring, is also an unrestricted free agent, and Laimbeer said she has expressed interest in returning.

Laimbeer has plenty of money to work with, though, and it's likely he'll target one or two key reserves on the market. He wants a veteran guard who can shoot the three-pointer and a backup center who is at least 6-feet-5. Third on his list of needs is a backup small forward, who will help pick up minutes from Cash as she recovers from knee surgery.

Who might be on his list?

Former Shock guard Kedra Holland-Corn, who was first off the bench on the 2003 championship team. Holland-Corn played most of last season in Houston before quitting for unspecified reasons. She's a free agent who fits the Shock's guard needs.

Suprisingly specific from ole BL... Shocked Of course, though, everybody wants a backup center at least 6'5"..

But I still think they should keep Ayana Walker for the same reasons I gave in last season's discussion.. Knows the system, is a 6'3" Forward, they have the cap room, few other options, and reminds me of Darius Miles in the sense that she's an athlete waiting to learn basketball so you may as well sit on her for a while. But of course, time is running short. Adia Barnes Bill? Idea

Barnes could not doubt be available with the Storm facing cap pressures.

We could always rehash Admiral's claim that I didn't win WVGM, only to have the facts get in the way of his post.

The source on Ayana was VERY good. As it turns out, it didn't happen. Admiral likes to rehash if someone turns out to be wrong. Last time I checked, the only information Admiral had related to his own sexual fantasies involving WNBA players...which, of course, will never come to fruition.

I'm sorry, what "source" did you have? Instead of obtaining information or even making projections, you just sit there and try to point out when the information yields a different result or if predictions do not come true. Go back to your fantasies with WNBA players...

No source, logical analysis. Idea Similar to how I didn't need a source to tell me that Laimbeer would like KHC back or a backup SF and a tall Center. Confused

I'm reminded of the difference between Greg Anthony and Stephen A. Smith on the "Put up or shut up" feature on NBA Fastbreak on ESPN. Anthony is always teasing Stephen A. for just revealing what sources told him rather than making an prediction. Razz

On one episode, Tim Legler said "The Hornets will not win a 2nd game until 2005", Greg Anthony said "Vince Carter will be traded by the end of the month." Stephen A. said "Glenn Robinson will remain a Sixer." GA responded: "What the hell is that? Why don't you just say that the Sixers GM told me that they cannot find any takers for GR so we're going to keep his expiring contract?" lol

Yet you do NEITHER. You don't reveal info and you don't make predictions. You just save messages with those things and then criticize them later.

Are you sure? He certainly wants her contributions back. That doesn't mean he wants *her* back.

Yet I did. Cool

BL was on the boards last year and someone asked if Petra would be back and he responded "probably not." I then asked BL what his plans were for Ayana Walker, but he left before answering. After that, I said BL should, and therefore will keep Ayana Walker for the same exact reasons I mentioned above. You responded dismissively "Admiral, Ayana Walker will not be back." But I was right. Well BL has the money, KHC is very available, and he wants her contributions... What more is there to say? Question

Saying someone should do something is NOT a prediction. "Therefore will" sounds like revisionist history on your part.

I am sure you kept the messages. Funny how you don't keep the posts about your inaccurate WVGM claims...

Apparently there is plenty to say, since you cannot figure it out. Have you ever considered that Kedra might not want to come back to Detroit or that Laimbeer might not want her back for other reasons besides her on-court statistical contributions???

CNN lets Tucker Carlson go

The bow-tied wearing conservative pundit got into a public tussle last fall with comic Jon Stewart, who has been critical of cable political programs that devolve into shoutfests.

“I guess I come down more firmly in the Jon Stewart camp,” Klein told The Associated Press.
