accrording to recent a press release from the Sports Business Journal, the commish's recent press conference & a few tweets, there's as many as 10 possible expansion cities for 2012.

1. Los Angeles area/Southern California
2. Chicago Red Stars return
3. Toronto
4. Seattle
5. Dallas
6. Vancouver
7. Portland
8. Denver
9. Phoenix, AZ
10. Birmingham, AL

now whether these are just wishful thinking or places with potential buyers is another thing. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Vancouver is strongly pushing for the WPS in 2012. The club will likely join as long as the league can add additional teams on the west coast. If LA/Orange County is looking to rejoin and the possibility of Seattle comes through I think the league could be returning to the west coast.

I guess their are going to be ups and downs when starting a new league nowadays, but eventually this will work out!
