1. I remember reading that there's a way to turn off avatars so they don't appear when I load a page. I was just at my "profile" page, and couldn't figure out how to do that. Help?
2. In the time display area, one can choose one's time zone. In scrolling through the choices, I noticed that amongst the GMT -7s and GMT +2s, there appeared a GMT -3.5 and GMT +5.5. Where in the world are people 30 minutes off the rest of us?

There is a Style called NoAvPixelated, it was a style I fiddled around with a little, it doesn't show avatars or sig lines, but it's not real friendly, you could try it out and see if you like it. Just go to your profile and change to that Style.
