What does this say?
La società Rovereto Basket ha provveduto a sospendere dalla rosa della squadra la giocatrice Vickie Johnson dal momento che la stessa non si è presentata, sia pur convocata, alla partita di Chieti.La situazione resterà sostanzialmente tale fino a quando le divergenze, di natura prettamente contrattuale, non verranno appianate; soluzione nella quale la società confida.

i asked my boss to translate for me. basically, he said that she has been suspended from the team, effective when she did not show up at a game. She will remain suspended until her contract can be evaluated.
uh, oh.

What Herrade said!! My spanish allows me to understand some and the gist is she has been suspended from her team. Now that's something REALLY weird for VJ...

As I understand, it was breach of contract. It wasn't just that VJ missed the game for whatever reason. She intentionally didn't show up because she understood that something in her contract allowed her not to play that one game.
That's my interpretation...
That being said, Roveretto expects that it was just a "minor" problem and they will come to terms.
