Can't see what else it would be. If so, do we get the Lange/Brondello team just stepping up, or is the apparent natural fit between Boucek and SASS going to come to pass?

Even though I would love to see Jenny Boucek back on the WNBA sidelines again, Jenny was just recently hired by the Seattle Storm to be a scout with them. I cannot imagine her dumping that job for the SASS head coaching job so soon.

Nope, just keeping the husband and wife team together, and giving Brondello a shot.

Quote:
Hughes’ decision to step aside as head coach will allow him to focus his efforts full-time on scouting, player development and building a core group of players through a hands-on, strategic role as general manager. He will continue to mentor and serve as an advisor and support system for Brondello, in addition to remaining active in the San Antonio community.

That's the PR-y reasoning, anyway.

Yey! Congrats to Sandy and Olaf! Their baby will arrive just before the season starts too! I think Hughes as GM will also benefit the team as his presence continues the consistency.

Cool

This is one way to adjust from 3 paid coach positions last year to only 2 allowed this year (per team).

Speaking of Olaf I believe he was at the ASU Stanford game tonight......do they really think Jayne Appel will drop to their pick?
he certainly couldn't have been scouting anyone else, or if he was he went home disgusted because she was the only player worth a damn in that game tonight Confused
