After watching some of Ind/Wash, I got to thinking and realizing just how much of a disparity there is between the two conferences in the post. By that, I mean, is that the post players in the east are not very skilled offensively or particularly quick. If you compare the two, the West posts run circles around the east with its blend of athleticism and talent. Granted, Wauters and Dydek are good players and very active, but I think everyone else will really need to evaluate their situations at the end of the year. Indiana desperately needs to find a quality replacement for Natalie Williams. That's partly why they can't score: Williams can't give them what she used to. Thoughts?

I agree. Indiana has two nice posts players that will probably return (Hoffman and Stremeikyte(sp?) ) but yeah they need a replacement for Natalie Williams. As a Fever fan, I'm getting increasingly annoyed with Kelly Schumacher. She's really pretty worthless unless she is having a good night, but they dont come often. Shes a player that, yeah can get a few boards or a few blocks but we need more from our post position. The Fever are the worst field goal percentage team in the league. Thats because we dont have posts that are effective on a consistant basis. I'm wondering what post players will be free agents this year. If so, we need at least one post player that can be consistant.

It shouldn't be hard to replace what Nat is giving y'all right now. 5.7 ppg on 38% shooting is not stellar for a post player, and 5.7 rpg isn't that great either.

Yeah, the only reason im not as hard on Nat as I am on Kelly is because Nat will retire next season and has put up decent numbers her whole career. I've yet to see anything decent from Schumacher.
