This could be another early playoff preview. The Monarchs and Sparks have met in the playoffs three of the past four seasons, with Sacramento finally prevailing in 2004. If the 2005 playoffs started today, the Monarchs would play L.A. in the first round.

"Against L.A., we have to play perfect basketball," Griffith said. "We have to want the game more than them."

It's good to see Ticha so confident. But hey, she has reason to be. And even in that game in LA where LA blew them out, Sacramento almost beat the Sparks after a huge comeback. Sometimes the Sparks can get lazy with a big lead.
