Nice. That's just what you want from your seniors when your team has lofty expectations.

"by definition, a secondary violation is one that is isolated and inadvertent in nature,"

Can't be much. "Inadvertent" seems to be the operative word. Little plays about 17 minutes a game and Star Allen has graduated so we were going to have to be "much improved" over last year anyway. Now a little more so.

The games missed will be Eastern Illinois, probably BGSU, and Alabama-Birmingham. We shall see.

Well, one "suspension" game out of the way. OSU 91-EIU 68.

Both teams played well. FG%, OSU 44%....EIU 40%. I think we missed Shavelle a little here.

The game swung on rebounds.....OSU 59...EIU 31.

I believe that the "really" good news from OSU's first game is what happened at the 4 position. Star Allen's production at the 4 ( 11 points and 8 rebounds per game) has to be replaced this year by others.

Well, in the first game of the season, the "others" seem to be;

Sarah Schulze.......18 points and 9 rebounds.

Andrea Walker.......10 points and 9 rebounds.

Sarah had a fabulous game playing all of her 17 minutes at the 4, shooting 63% from the floor (3 of 6 from behind the arc) and dominating the boards.

Andrea doesn't shoot 3's, but had the better floor game shooting 80% and also dominating the boards. Drea played many of her 13 minutes at the 4.

Congratulations to these two excellent players! Good luck in today's game.
