I suppose Moore feels a lot of pressure as a number one pick for a team hovering around .500 and in need of a vocal floor leader. There was great talk of promise in her selection. Her size and build is reminiscent of one Teresa Weatherspoon. (By the way, whatever happened to T-Spoon? Perhaps that will be another article.) The scout was that she had Spoon’s court awareness, but was a much better shooter.

You’re probably struggling to recall significant accomplishments from the likes of Firsova and Tuukkanen, if you remember them at all. There have been significant contributions, however, to the Liberty by those picks that were sixth or higher.

It’s been a hectic summer. I’m not complaining, only giving the facts.
