whew. that was mostly ugly, but i did dig that FT clinic from Becky at the end. and considering that i picked her for TT, i was relieved. i should just quit that TT game, though. had an absolutely AWFUL week. just awful. went from being 200-something back down to 600-something and today's pick of Becky probably wasn't such a great idea...

I'm proud of our Libs, it's always a good sign when you can win when the shots aren't really falling. Who said Crystal can't guard KT?
It's 3am, I'm out, thanks for not making me regret getting up for this game New York Smile

meka did okay. i'm not sure it's realistic to expect someone who gets so few minutes to come out and instantly hum and gel. she had a coupla flubs, but her numbers are decent and she defended well. loree looked good, too, tho not perfect. again, give them some minutes - real blocks of time, not two minutes here and two minutes there - and i think they'll play as well as we expect them to.

I stand corrected. Today she did a good job on Katie. TODAY.
I just got off the phone with tech service, how can my internet signal die on me in the last couple of minutes...damn it.

No offense BCBG, but who are you watching...

the last meeting Katie was 3-10 for 10 points....that`s a combined 5-22 for 15 points in the two games, for the most prolific scorer in pro women`s basketball.

It may not be C-Rob. I didn't get to watch the game, but the box score doesn't surprise me very much: this makes the seventh (I think) game in which Katie has scored below 13 points. On Tuesday (when the Lynx won) she scored 3 on 1-6 shooting. Last Sunday she scored no points during the second half of the game.

Katie Smith is in a serious scoring slump, and has been for several weeks. When other shooters step up and make shots, the Lynx win. When they don't, the Lynx lose.

I thought it was over. Didn't she say she got a B, before the All-Star Game? Or was that on one test?

I thought the slump was more mental/ emotional, maybe something to do with reaching the 5K margin on a team that's never been near a championship, or else medical/ physical, decreased energy or mobility due to coming back from her injury right when the season began (though she still plays very good D). I also went back over Katie's box scores, and the slump is real, but it hasn't been that long: 2-12, 1-6, 3-10 and a scoreless second half, but before that 5-11, 4-10, 3-10 (in Connecticut), 5-11. She hasn't Taken Over a Game in a while, though, and the biochem probably does have something to do with that.

I see Kristi Harrower finished with 6 assists, 5 steals, 0 turnovers.
Just thought the pint-sized aussie deserved a quick mention for that Smile

It's amazing that in a little over two weeks, the Liberty have beaten the Sparks, the Sun, the Comets, and the Monarchs.

And Phoenix and Minny.

And of the Storm loss, dot com's recap says...

Seattle led 68-44 with just under nine minutes left when the Liberty went on a 20-3 run that was capped by Becky Hammon's 3-pointer with 4:22 remaining.

Hello. That's a hell of comeback on the road.

I guess I'm rooting for the damn Liberty again. lol!

don't mean to bash the aussie, but she played worse than her box score indicates. our offense was, as she said, at a standstill the entire game. that's the point guard's fault as much as anyone's.

Yeah, Becky's family made up about half of the people in attendance at the game.

C'mon Minnesota!! Support your team already!!

Ugly game last night...BUT a win is a win....I don't think anyone would have thought the Lib would be 3-1 for the road trip. Hope the "Good Libs" show up Wednesday night at MSG!
