The Houston Comets have welcomed back their all-star Tina Thompson after she missed most of the season on pregnancy leave. The problem for them is they've lost both of the games Thompson has played. On a positive note, I was able to talk to Laura Macchi yesterday before the game. I asked her when she thought she would be back and she said a couple more games, after being out for her left foot (I think I remember it being the left one she pointed to). I told her I knew they missed having her in the line up and that I had enjoyed watching her play last season. She seemed genuinely embarrased that someone in Houston knew who she was and that she played in Italy. She is a sweet girl off the court, apparently, but once she suits up, forgetaboutit!

Good news for the LA bench.
