y'know, i pity the fan who never saw coop in her heyday. what she's saying is truth for her because that's exactly what she did - created offense where none existed, drove the lane where none existed, split the d, and, at the very least, forced the action and wound up at the charity stripe. she's also right about the lack of leadership on the floor. to me, the irony of those days when there was "tension" between coop and swoopes was that, when coop wasn't on the floor, swoopes didn't want that leadership role. didn't want it, and didn't take it. and when coop wasn't on the floor, that team looked lost. i've seen swoopes play cheerleader a few times this year, and that's good. but there doesn't seem to be anyone taking charge today.
now, as a commentator, coop could ratchet it down a bit.

I just did. In Germany they play "Aquarela do Brasil" when a player scores a goal...it's way cooler.
