I wish they would be more like the NBA. The participates in the skills, 3-pt contest don't have to be actual all-stars. You could showcase more players that way. Harding, Whalen would be good for the skills activity. Don't they have some good three-point shooter that did not make the team? I guess it would take too much to invite more players Question

How is it that Nicole Powell is not a part of the 3 Point Shootout! She along with Taurasi are the best 3 point shooters in the league.

I know they did that the year Laurie Koehn won the 3-point shootout. But then again, the game was in Washington that year while Laurie was on Washington's team. Beats me why they wouldn't do that with Whalen, Phillips, or whoever.

I know that Whalen is said to be enjoying a nice weekend with her family, so I'm sure the League FO just thought it would be easier to keep it to those playing in the ASG.

And I would say switch Bird with Powell.

Sid would kill in this contest. She'd be our Kapono.

Sure let's bring a NEW YORK and TENNESSEE outsider into Connecticut for the contest. She'd be a smash! Evil or Very Mad

Forget Whalen, let's enter AJZ in the 3 point contest!

Um, wouldn't a three-point shootout and skills challenge only with All-Stars be the actual All-Star Game? Seems pointless just to have All-Stars. Pointless or cheap, one of those.

After Wednesday's game, maybe Sue should demand that all participants have to run for 45 minutes and then start the comp!
