nooooo, sillies, not the little wussy umbrellas you use for rain and wind up tossing in the nearest receptible after the first feeble gust. i'm talking about the BIG umbrellas that the hot dog vendors use over their carts. it's wonderful! i mean, they're not remarkable or anything - just orange and oatmeal, and they say "wnba summer 2005" and have the teams listed on them. but how wonderful is that?!! have you seen them, new yorkers? i bet they've been there all along. they're everywhere. i wonder if the league gave 'em out for free. you best believe the bibbster's gonna be negotiatin' for one real soon. yup, when i'm 98, i'll be able to tell the young'uns that i've got a big old honkin' wnba UMBRELLA in my collection . . .
keep your eyes peeled - i'm curious to know if they're in other cities, too.

Its advertising the WNBA is paying a monthly cost for them. I saw a outdoor telephone booth ad yesterday...nice to see but I thought it was not a great ad and not as strong message

I've seen a whole passel of them, along with a sudden uptick in league advertising. There's nothing quite as exquisitely terrifying as suddenly seeing Lisa Leslie's face from a bus window. I try to compliment the vendors on their umbrellas. They just look at me like I've grown an extra head.

yeah, i've seen the phone booth displays, too. they've very quietly painted the town with wnba stuff. it's all good - it's seeping into people's subconscious minds as we speak. then we'll have pod people as fans.

It's hotter than a two-peckered billy goat here in LA._________________ Every woman who has ever been presented with a career/sex quid pro quo in the entertainment industry should come forward and simply say, “Me, too.” - jammer The New York Times 10/10/17 |

They should just get good looking people in WNBA apparel to roam the streets in WNBA cities. The subtle stuff does really work... |
