After talking with CB and Spark4life in the Kristi Harrower thread about some of the great history and players in the WNBA, it got me thinking if you go based on every player who ever wore your favorite teams uniform, what would your roster look like.

Not taking into consideration, age, year the played or how many games they played they played, The only requirement being they had to have appeared in 1 regular season game, regardless of time played, for the team you choose who would you pick.

The teams don't have to be of the current 13 teams either, it could be any team who has ever been in the WNBA.

Fun idea! Even with 13 players, it will leave off lots I would like to include and of whom I have many great memories!

San Antonio Silver Stars

Becky Hammon, Helen Darling, Edwige Lawson-Wade
Vickie Johnson, Agnieszka Bibrzycka, Shanna Crossley,
Erin Buescher, Adrienne Goodson
Sophia Young, Natalie Williams
Ruth Riley, Ann Wauters, Elena Baranova

I obviously am more partial to the Stars of the last few years. Wink

Houston Comets (definitely leaves off many players!)

Kim Perrot, Edwige Lawson-Wade*
Cynthia Cooper, Janeth Arcain, Dominique Canty
Sheryl Swoopes, Hamchetou Maiga-Ba
Tina Thompson, Sancho Lyttle, Kristen Rasmussen
Tammy Jackson, Wanda Guyton, Mistie Williams

*the Edwige I know today of the Stars; otherwise, I'd have to say Coquese Washington because she played longer with us and was the same sweet person as Edwige. Cool

I had Tari Phillips on the list but only if we had her in her prime on this dream team. Wink

Rebecca Lobo was fun to have on our team but just not here long enough I guess, hard to cut too.

Kayte Christensen not here that long but very gracious with the fans.

Trisha Stafford-Odom, another hustle player that the fans love.

It was hard for me to narrow it down to 13 also...

Here's my list, I was waiting for a few people to answer, plus trying to finish up some homework. Wink

Of course its for the LA Sparks

Nina Bjedov
Latasha Byears
Temecka Dixon
Ukari Figgs
Lisa Leslie
Mwadi Mabika
Nicky McCrimmon
DeLisha Milton-Jones
Murriel Page
Candace Parker
Nikki Teasley
Christi Thomas
Haixia Zheng

This was harder than I thought, there's more players I would like to add, but I like that list. Very Happy

That's a pretty good list there! I guess we're excluding players who just played one year for the Storm... which seems fair, but it shrinks the pool significantly. The one I might add would be Adia Barnes who played for three years w/ the Storm, and was on the 2004 team. I'm sure someone would say Michelle Marciniak... but I'm no authority on those early years. Smile

You can include any player as long as they appeared in 1 regular season game, although that may not be how wadethered picked their team.

I was making that rule up myself, mostly to exclude Yo and Swoopes, because it would seem somehow wrong to call them Storm players when they played the vast majority of their careers with other teams. But I wouldn't stop a Sparks fan from including CP3, or a Lynx fan from including Wiggins.

Gotcha, just wanted to clarify, thought you misunderstood, but I think that would be a good rule to be used in the case of players like Yolanda Griffith and Sheryl Swoopes.

Without a doubt the best. Although it would have been something to see Penny Toler, Teresa Weatherspoon, Teresa Edwards, Suzie McConnell-Serio and some of the others in the prime instead of at the end of their careers.

How could you have forgotten about Candace Parker and Nicky McCrimmon. Wink

This was hard those, so many players I would have liked to have added like Penny Toler, Pam McGee, Verdrana Grgin-Fonseca, Allison Feaster, Erika de Souza, Clarisse Machanguana just to name a few, of course a lot more than that. Wink

I got caught in old school mode and forgot CP3..

And I thought I had Nicky on my list...

But I decided no way I could not include these two on my list...

Definitely, Nicky McCrimmon was always one of my favorite players, I was sad when she signed with Houston, but glad to see she was still going to be playing in the WNBA.
