Wasn't there a player of the game in '04 at Radio City? We could call her the All-Star MVP.

I think under Most Improved is the sportsmanship award, not improved.

Yeah, even this league ain't crazy enough to give a declining 37-year old a Most Improved award.

It really wasn't an all-star game. More like the 2004 Olympians vs. the leagues other best players (who weren't olympians).

Your most improved winners are actually the Sportsmanship award winners.

Sorry, I had the thread sitting here for 15 minutes and walked away and came back. Obviously it was fixed before I posted that.

Yes. Thanks for the history lesson. That's why I didn't call it the All-Star game. Was there or was there not a player of the game? That's all I was asking.

I don't want to imply that you need a history lesson. So, I won't say.

Boy howdy you guys. Razz

Also, I do a pretty good job (if I do say so myself) of keeping all the W pages on wikipedia updated. So if you guys ever need general W info like this, head on over there and just search.

Yeah, I knew you'd be able to find it if you looked it up, so I added it. Wikipedia lists her as the MVP of the game. Is that you, Nick? That's why before I said we could just call her the All-Star MVP. I just had forgotten who it was.

We could, but I wouldn't. Too many players who would have been All Stars were ineligible to play (i.e. Lauren Jackson).

But it's all we have. We should call her the MVP with an asterisk. It's still an accomplishment.

You've done a really great job on them. It's nice to have resources like that with WNBA dedicated content on them. The league is lucky to have fans good enough to keep that up.

Now, only if we had someone to give us access to FULL GAMES from 1997-2002.

It's just been swept under the rug like it never existed.
