Wonder why she waited until now to have the surgery?????

SEATTLE - Storm forward Swin Cash underwent successful surgery today to repair a disc injury in her low back. The operation was performed by Dr. Joseph Maroon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Penn. Cash’s anticipated rehabilitation time is approximately 8-12 weeks.
“We were pleased to receive the good news today on Swin’s surgery,” said Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Brian Agler. “Swin played in pain last season so we are all looking forward to her being healthy this summer. She is a great player and I’m excited to get back on the court with her.”

Because every time she was ready to have the operation, she kept hearing the voice of Bugs Bunny saying "What a Maroon..."

You said it! Plus she may have needed the money she made overseas to pay for her surgery.

Doesn't the Storm (or the WNBA office itself) pay in full or partially the cost of a player's operation? I've been wondering about this.

Maybe she needed the money so she could live off of while she is recovering for the surgery, since, I assume so anyways, she is not under contract with the Storm till May.
