Wow, this is really scary. I remember taking the subway to a Yankee game not 2 months ago and I had my iPod. The thing is that you're so not there when you're listening to music that you are an easy target for thieves.

i have a feeling stuff like that will eventually send out wi-fi signals, but the trick would be to come up with a workable trigger . . . meanwhile, i know what skeptics will think of this gesture by mr. jobs, but for what it's worth:
