Lib lead 29-27 at half. Wauters is a one-woman wrecking crew. She is just everywhere. I'm somewhat impressed with San Antonio's team basketball. They turned it over a lot towards the end of the half but only down two and at home. Pee Wee and Marie are the hot hands tonight!

What is it with all my favorite players getting hit in the face all of a sudden? First Sue Bird, now it's happened to Katie Feenstra, of all people. Good grief.

No I'm not...and I didn't see that part, but just now heard about it. This is only the second Liberty game I've ever seen, if you can believe it.
Why does that happen so much? Are we gonna have to start calling high-sticking in the WNBA, too?

Becky Hammon should not be shooting from Austin, either.

Lib meltdown. 21-0 SASS run, SASS 66 Lib 55. Ouch!
Update:
24-0 run ended by Hammon fg. What's the record?

We're about to become the first team to lose to both the cellar-dwellers. Anyone know any Clippers fans? I need to borrow a paper bag. Whether it's to hide my identity or to asphyxiate Blaze and Patty, I'm not sure.

The Lib go as far as Becky and Ann take them. Hammon made some critical errors towards the end of the game which completely turned the game around. But don't forget to give the Silver Stars credit. They made some tough plays and played solid in your face defense towards the end. Great team effort tonight! This team is improving greatly and this has to make Seattle feel better. haha

That thought briefly crossed my mind, but then I thought, no. If this makes the team feel better about having lost on Thursday, there's something wrong with them. What will make the Storm feel better would be a win on Sunday... *winks at Streaks*

no shit. i rewound tivo just to be sure - the collapse happened when patty put the starters back in. patty needs a different mix. she either has all offense or all defense. loree and frett need to be worked into the game plan.

I had season tix for the Clippers a few years back when they lost something like eleven games in overtime. - LOL!
I checked the score of the game when there was about 5 minutes left. I thought, "San Antonio could come back..."
I just looked the final score and was sure it was a mistake. Nice Comeback, SASS!!

Why in the world do coaches do that?! Okay benchies, you got the team through a stretch, got them back in a game, whatever, now get out and let the REAL stars win it!!
I realize I'm not being fair to coaches. But when things like that happen, it really makes you wonder sometimes.

The Lib bench only scored six points, all by Frett. They were outscored by the SASS bench 10-6 despite playing 46 minutes to the SASS reserves' 32. The Meeksiah was 0-fer, hard to justify giving her more minutes based on that.
On the flipside, Vickie Johnson has apparently been on vacation the last two weeks. Either that or she decided to join Crystal Robinson wherever she's been all year. The Lib wouldn't be hurt much if Robinson followed through on her threat to retire.

Now I really want to see that televised SASS game...
Marie and ***Wee are finally playing like I envisioned them playing, Dan Hughes has upped their defensive schemes, but who is this Dalma Ivanyi? 2 very efficient games in a row... before that, pretty efficient with the good assists, steals and decent rebounding.
Liberty-wise, 2 of the 3 players, C-Rob, VJ, or Meka need to have games somewhere around their career averages to win. Nova finally played well, Wauters is still overachieving, Becky is improved, and Moore is fine. But 8 pts, 5 rbs and 4ast split up amongst 3 players isn't going to do it
And can you believe that I was the only one who picked the SASS to win this game?

no, it isn't hard to justify the meeksiah getting more playing time. actually, she deserves to be in in the starting lineup. especially, when crob has gone 0 for the season.
