AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- The Sacramento Monarchs conclude their East Coast swing on Friday when they face the Detroit Shock.

The Monarchs have gone 2-1 in the first three games of their five-game road trip. After Friday's contest at The Palace of Auburn Hills, the Western Conference leaders conclude the trip with a game at Seattle on Sunday.

On Thursday, Sacramento posted a 61-50 victory at New York. DeMya Walker collected 20 points and nine rebounds while Yolanda Griffith added 11 and 10 in the triumph.

Deanna Nolan collected 22 points, nine rebounds and three steals as Detroit ended a four-game losing streak with a 79-73 home win over Los Angeles on Sunday. Cheryl Ford added 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Despite the win, the Shock have lost five of their last seven games.

Sacramento and Detroit have split their last four meetings, including both meetings last year when each team won on the other's home court.

Should be a great game!

And Nolan, Ford, Riley, and Powell have 2 points combined. How often will that happen?

It is great Plenette is scoring. But how happy will the other players be when she keeps shooting and doesn't play defense? Plenette is VERY focused tonight, but will she maintain that focus from game to game? She hasn't done that in her career so far...will it be different in Motown?

Nolan is picking up the assist slack too, with 3, 3, 3...

Double Tech on coach Bill! Wow, both coaches want to get thrown? One down, one to go, and Whiz has one tech already.

What's going on in Detroit? No offense to our board mate but it's starting to look like he's lost these women for good. You trade for a marginal player and she steps in first game and leads your team in scoring while your all-stars and former finals MVPs and best player in the league, etc. are putting up goose eggs?

Something's very wrong.

I'd feel bad but they're playing Sac.

Go Monarchs!

don't know exactly, he got tossed during a timeout. The Sac announcers said that they heard him saying something about "being an embarrassment to the league" to the officials on the way out. They said that he must have been apologizing for his behavior, of course, and NOT their lame ass officiating Wink

15 TO's for Detroit in 1st half. Just a guess: Sacto's getting away with hacks that cause TO's and that's what's got Laimbeer upset.

So will SFO be fined $500 or something?

Let's take up a collection!

Another technical! Cheryl Ford picks up this one. Announcers were saying Elaine Powell wanted to go after Chelsea Newton.

I wish this one was televised, things are getting crazy.
