Charlotte was up 7 at the half.

What's left to say about Trudi? I predict she'll be gone by this time next week.

Actually, the Sting were up by 12 at some point late in the first half; the score at half time was 27-20. [Yes, that's right, 27-20.] The Mystics were in a deep fog the entire first half. It was an ugly, boring, twenty minutes of basketball. Richie obviously gave them a wake up call at half time, and DC kicked it into a higher gear, outscoring the Sting 45-23 in the second half. And if Nakia hadn't missed so many free throws, it would easily have been 50-23.

Trudi looked like she was going to cry when she left the court after the game, and who could blame her.

...looks like Trudi has another gig to fall back on, at least:

Oh yes, and she's doing an excellent job of that in Charlotte...

that is hilarious. just wait till she has to give an example of her most recent success story to nail her next gig.

She's an example of the trouble with all that leadership motivational stuff: If you don't get the substance right, like drafting the right players, it doesn't matter much.

Thanks for digging that out, Stever.

Bob Johnson himself or his designee, of course. Owners ultimately decide who does what. It's easy to think a top manager is a power unto him/herself. Compared to the owner(s), never was and never will be.

IMO it'll be a bad sign if she isn't fired/allowed to resign--a bad sign for the franchise, I mean.

hahah I thought about that a few nights ago. I was thinking 'she'd never fire herself thats just embarrassing'. Although, the press conference speech would be funny as hell.

Of course, since she has two positions, as a face-saving matter, Johnson could have her relinquish coaching and stay on as GM.
