Undrafted free agents are picked up here and there in the WNBA, so getting a spot on a team wasn’t a shock, but it also didn’t guarantee anything. The biggest surprise is that Miller has stayed in Charlotte ever since that training camp. She’s the only non-drafted player on the roster, yet she’s played more games for the Sting than everyone but veterans Allison Feaster, Dawn Staley and Tammy Sutton-Brown.

Miller never takes her role for granted. She has to juice every second she gets on the court for all its worth. That’s paid off as she’s come off the bench to lead the Sting in rebounds and blocks per 40 minutes.
