PostPosted: 06/29/05 6:27 pm    ::: Fantasy Game position(official thread) Reply Reply with quote

Alright, here is a complete list of the players I have in the game right now, I've sorted them by team, and player, please make suggestions in this thread for changes, I want to get the changes done by this weekend, hopefully late Friday night, so I can go ahead and release the rosters for the rest of the year. I don't plan on having any more position changes for the rest of the year, so let's try to come up with the best we can, if they play two positions, that is fine, we'll have them at both, but I'm not very good at what positions are which, so please have some discussions about who should be what, if someone says so and so is a PG and you don't agree, speak up, here is the list of players as they are listed in the game rosters, the price is current as of right now, and it will change constantly over the season.

I will set aside time Friday evening to review all the suggestions and make the changes that night or early Saturday, and then I'll release the lineups for the rest of the year. Any lineups you have already submitted are all good, so if a player ends up not being listed at a position you already have picked them at, do not worry, your lineup is still valid and legitimate.

Are all the above exclusively at these positions, any in addition to what's listed, or are you saying this position and this position only, of course you have Mandisa at two, but you're saying that Holdsclaw is a PF and PF only ?

I'm thinking adding positions except for Hodges, S Thomas, Newton, and Stevenson. Those should just be changes.

From what I have read, Plenette Pierson should also be available at SF

So we have:
Tyger Lewis +SG
Brooke Wyckoff +SF
Stacey Thomas (SG only)
Roneeka Hodges (SG only)
Deanna Jackson +SF
Kelly Miller +SG
Chamique Holdsclaw +PF
Tamara Moore +PG
Chelsea Newton (SG only)
LaToya Thomas +SF
Mandisa Stevenson (C, PF only)
Tamicha Jackson +PG
Plenette Pierson +SF

+ means in addition to currently listed positions, only means just that only the position(s) listed above.

Shouldn't Tully be at PG?

Allison Feaster, +SG
Janel McCarville, +C ?*not sure, but thats whats shes listed as on dot com
Kara Braxton, +PF
Tari Phillips, +PF
Jugita Streimikyte, -SG
Yolanda Paige, PG only
Doneeka Hodges, +PG
Mwadi Mabika, +SG (possibly)
Nicole Ohlde, +PF
Angelina Williams, +SF
Ashley Robinson, +C
Shereka Wright-has she been playing PG?
Dalma Ivanyi, +SF
Charlotte Smith-Taylor, +SF
Shyra Ely, +SF

Also, Detroit has gone with Deanna Nolan and Chandi Jones in the backcourt quite a bit.... maybe one of them should be at PG also?

Oh, and Connecticut fans have been saying that Brooke Wyckoff has been playing mainly SG and SF.

Code:
Plenette Pierson      +SF
Ebony Hoffman            +C
Marlous Nieuwveen        +C Only
DeTrina White            +PF
Olympia Scott-Richardson +C
Kendra Wecker            SF Only
DeLisha Milton-Jones     +SF
Nikki McCray             +SF
Shereka Wright           +SG?
Teana McKiver                +Teana Miller
Chandi Jones             +PG
Suzy Batkovic            +PF

Perhaps these as well... Question

Also, Donovan has said that she has considered playing Batkovic and Burse together, meaning that Batkovic is likely the PF, similar to Edwards and Burse, so maybe her as PF too? Similarly, Graf may play Wright as a SG, but that's likely a possibility further down the road...

It may not really matter, since I don't think anyone has picked her yet at any time, but...

Tanisha Wright has played PG, SG, and SF for the Storm so far this year, but mainly just floats between the two guard spots. Francesca has played both PG and SG this year. And Ashley Battle can come off the list since she was cut.

Here's a few more that we might want to consider:

Lauren Jackson, +SF It sounds like Anne Donovan hasn't given up on LJ @ SF, I read an article that said she wanted to try it with Burse and Batkovik at C/PF.

Chantelle Anderson, +PF She has played PF, with Feenstra at Center

Becky Hammon, SG Not sure how much SG she has been playing this year, but she might get more time there with LM activated.

Once again, these are some we might want to consider, I'm not saying we should definately put them there.

Also, I think it's Jamie Carey, not Jaime.

Well, for now it's Jaime, until they change it in the boxscores, I caught that one a while back, but the boxes always had Jaime, the roster now has her as Jamie,I don't think there is any confusion with who it is, but the boxscores always use Jaime, so I'll stick with it until they change it.

So +SF for her too...

For the Lynx based on what they play this season:
Ohlde s/b PF & C

You might want to switch theses 2. Primarily they play:
Mann - PF
Batteast - SF

I'm thinking adding positions except for Hodges, S Thomas, Newton, and Stevenson. Those should just be changes.

Hey everybody! I don't post that much, just like to read and scoop up all the info you all give out. But, thinking on Chelsea Newton, and being a season ticket holding Rutgers fan I have watched her for years, I think she should be listed as SG and SF. She was drafted and made the team based on her defensive skills and has been used to defend some tough players so far this season. She seems to be fluctuating between SG and SF from game to game, depending on the defensive need, so I thought she might be listed as both so there is more opportunity to choose her. JMHO Smile

Any problems with any of these, some of the descriptions may be redundant, I'm trying to assimilate them, anything you don't agree with, or anything basically speak up, I plan on changing the positions tonight, I guess it will be ok to make a few changes in the next week or so, but definitely don't plan on making any more position changes after the All-Star break.

Should it be Braxton that becomes the PF and not Riley?

Ruth is playing high post offense, Braxton low post.
Against LA I thought Braxton was playing LL when they were in together, but not sure.

I know against CT, Braxton played against Margo. In fact at one point WHalen was covering Ruth.

Also, Wycoff isn't really playing SG. She comes in for Nykesha or KT, and the other shifts to SG with Brooke at SF. If people want her at SG, fine, doesn't much matter.
