The battle will feature a
'match-up in the middle' between the Liberty's Ann Wauters and
Sacramento's All-Star Yolanda Griffith. Come out to support your home team as
the Liberty faces the top team in the Western Conference.

While you are at Play by Play, take advantage of the specials the
restaurant has to offer for Thursday only. Get $2 off all salads and
purchase import drafts for just $3.

PULLING DOUBLE DUTY
Ann Wauters continues to pour in the points for the Liberty ... Her 16
points against Charlotte on Saturday was the fifth consecutive game
that she has scored in double digits ... Wauters has scored in double
figures in eight of the 10 games the Liberty has played so far in 2005 ...
All that scoring is adding up -- Wauters now leads the team in scoring
with 14.2 ppg.

Finally a real test of the Wauters... Exclamation Blaze will likely have some personal stake in this match... Could validate her decision not to trade for Griffith... For the same reason, Meka could go off tonight.. Idea

Since Wauters/Baranova specified that they only wanted to play for NY, it is my understanding that they have to agree to any trade, and they don`t want to go to the west coast...

So again...who did the Libs have to trade to get Yo?

Correct me if I'm wrong, for I've been known to be so, but wasn't VJ involved in that proposed deal?

From what Cam told me at the time, it was Yo for VJ and Christon, then Blaze wanted something more from Sac. The rest we know...

No, that's a dayum bad trade, I was against it. As much as I love Yo, and I really do, we were sacrificing a lot more than Sac was.

agreed...I was trying to figure out what the hell the admiral was talking about

Blaze will likely have some personal stake in this match... Could validate her decision not to trade for Griffith

it seems to me that the fact that it was such a bad trade is validation enough...maybe the only thing Blaze did right

I was talking about how Blaze was likely inclined not to do the deal because she believed Wauters was the 'future cornerstone of the franchise'. Wauters doing well this year rather validates her decision, but will be even moreso if Ann does well against SAC Idea

Actually Cam thought Blaze' holding out for more from SAC was ridiculous... Exclamation
