Kim Mulkey-Robertson now has more than just her memories.
The Baylor coach can relive the national championship basketball season with “Destination: Indianapolis,” the NCAA-produced DVD release that documents the Women's Final Four.
“That's the good thing about film and video is you can go back after the fact and see things you didn't see live,” Mulkey-Robertson said. “The fun part for me in watching it now is something that I never, ever get to do during the season. You get to see the fans in the stands. Those are things you don't pay attention to when you're preparing for games. But it was fun to watch the fans and see the players being interviewed.” ...
Another ambitious non-conference schedule includes a season opener against Georgia in the State Farm Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic in Lubbock; road trips to LSU, Army and Indiana; home dates with UCLA and Washington; and a trip to Cancun, Mexico for a tournament during the Thanksgiving Day break. ...
Freshman point guard Victoria Jones has decided to transfer after playing in just 11 games last season. She had eight points, four assists, three rebounds and seven turnovers in a total of 33 minutes. . . . Sophomore guard Monique Jones suffered a dislocated kneecap in a pick-up basketball game and will be out 4-6 weeks. . . . Senior forward Bernice Mosby, a transfer from Florida who will sit out this season, is taking classes this summer along with incoming freshmen Rachel Allison, Tricia Abbott, Jessica Morrow and Jhasmin Player.
