Wha...the first Creedence song appears at #155???
Or is it just too late now and I missed it?
And it's not even their best song!
As DeMya would probably say, "f&*# that list!!!"

The first Creedence song is Fortunate Son at #99.

Question, is this a list of best "English language" songs or we just don't exist?
Ok, you don't need to answer...I forgot we outside the US are aliens...

Well Richie Valens' song 'La Bamba' is in there at #345... maybe they guys at Rolling Stoned thought that was enough.

Seems like they just took out a list of all the top hits from the last 50 years, slotted those in and rounded the rest out with their personal favorites Confused

Yeah, there are some really odd choices, not just of ranking but also just out of the song itself Shocked I mean, man... 'Rock Lobster' by the B-52s? 'Buddy Holly' by Weezer?

What's Going On?
God Only Knows

Buddy Holly I actually thought deserves to be on the list. It was a great combination of new wave pop and pop culture revisited. However I think it also made it because of the Spike Jonez' video with the Happy Days crew.

Oh, good, I like that song a lot. Ok, I can agree with that, not the position itself.
But again, this is an English language song list. And it's reduced to pop/rock/r&b songs, mainly.
Anyways, yes, lists are hard to make and people will never agree with them.
