Anyone checked out the archive of the Merc/LA game? The mikes are on pregame and the announcers are just yapping... same thing happens during the breaks during the game... is this a constant?
ps still looking for help makin' the video screen on my mac bigger than 2"x2"

after three tries they finally responded:
If you click the link, launch in external player, you can then make the player any size you would like. Thank you for supporting the WNBA.

On windows machines, it takes Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher to have that button, one of my PC's has it, and another doesn't. (I think it is 9.0 or higher, I'm watching on TV, so I haven't been inclined to even look at the webcast)
Edit: It also show a lack of concern by the web site, they continue to require you to have the latest and greatest machines and software to even view the site, and they also gear it towards Windows machines, it's been rampant for a long time, ESPN is much the same way, the impression I get is "they aren't concerned with anything but bells and whistles, if the other machines work, good for them, if not, too bad".

| in the past, i've scoured the page source and tried different iterations of the url, on windows media player (for mac), realplayer, quicktime . . . no matter what i try, i get an error. but i haven't checked the version on my windows media player. that'll be my next step.

here's the last email I got from support:
I apologize; the launch in external player option has been disabled. Unfortunately there is no way to increase the size of the player. If there is an accessibility option in your system tools for magnification, this would be the only way to increase the size of the image. Thank you for supporting the WNBA.
my response:
why on EARTH would you do that - make the games accessible and then make'em unwatchable. Tough to support the WNBA when you do that

thanks, reb. i think i got closer because i was getting errors that basically said my url was nonsense. now i'm getting "Error creating unique tmp file." so i think that string needs to be cobbled in some way, stripped.
bastards. i never thought i'd hear myself say i like realplayer better . . .

| but i also think it may be impossible to do this with a live, streaming file. (would that make sense?) i mean, it may be better to try to solve this with an archived link first, right?

i'm thinking the pithyly dry and sarcastic email i sent the .com won't generate a response, but hope does spring eternal. (which, when you think of it, is a wierd ass phrase. suddenly i got an image of a bed spring... go figure. mebbe it's because tamika just missed a wide open lay up to put the lynx ahead)
