Tomorrow actually...

Anyway, after careful computation and consideration, my opening day play is.....

Helen Darling?

I feel like I'm playing catch up already

I'm taking CP3. I don't think Phoenix has anyone who can stop LL and CP3. I expect them to focus more on LL and for CP3 to fill the stat card.

Erin Thorn. I'm not impressed with Connecticut's perimeter defense, but I am impressed with their post play. I expect a lot of kickouts.

I had Katie Douglas (good for a respectable 34 points) yesterday and I have Katie Smith today. Congrats to everyone who took CP3 for her record-setting opening game. But let me ask you this: Do you really think that will be her best performance this year? I'm hoping that is just a taste of what she can do. Imagine what will happen when the Sparks play Atlanta, or Washington. Whooeee! She is as advertised. And all of us UT fans are saying, "We tried to tell you she was special!"

It could well be one of her best, numbers-wise. Phoenix don't play defence, don't rebound, and play the fastest paced, highest-scoring basketball in the league. Obviously that helps fantasy scoring. Parker won't play 38 minutes against Atlanta because they'll likely blow the Dream out early. She probably won't put up the same numbers against the likes of Washington because the Mystics have actual post players and play a vastly slower pace than Phoenix.

Well, thanks for jackshit, Erin Thorn. WTF.

For the record, my Parker pick is their visit to Chicago.

The link to the Pick One Challenge from WNBA.com is for the 2007 game (what maroons!). That may be why you are getting errors.

If you change the 2007 in the URL to 2008 on your address line, you can then access the game. I suggest you then bookmark it so you can navigate there directly.

mabell, I love the tagline in your signature!

As for me, in the first two days I took Lindsay Whalen and Kara Braxton. I picked up a total of 34 points.

Here's hoping that I get off to a better start when I take my pick for tomorrow.

Yep, that's the link that gives me errors. It worked fine for me before yesterday.

I've done well so far. I've picked Parker, Christon and Young. I wish I could have predicted Minn rookies having the games that they had but oh well. I'm going with Katie Smith today.

I had Bales. That's gonna hurt. I have Cash for 5/22.

Seems like once you embark on a scheme it is very hard to change things up. I had my reasons for picking who I did when and to change things now (I've made my picks for the year) means having to change not just one selection, but several.

The advantages to picking early means you are less likely to overlook someone and you don't have to worry about whether you forgot to pick somebody for the games that just tipped off. The disadvantage is that juggling the picks is tougher and it is harder to react to someone getting hot or injured.

What happened to everyone? It's no fun to play solo!

I have Whitmore tonight. She generally brings it against NY.

Me too. She seems to be playing well. However, the Sun are blowing the Lib out, so she may not play too much... I hope the Lib catchup so Whitmore can play more Twisted Evil

I was feeling pretty good about my Whitmore selection until I heard LJ scored 16 in the 1st. Anyone pick her today? Looks like she's working on a monster night!

I've had a pretty decent week this week, as I chose a lot of dependable studs (Ice, LL, LJ, CP3). Tonight I had Bird, who had a decent night. But Fowles went off, so I lose ground again.

Next up, 6/3, I have DT against the Mystakes.
