Could there have been a more boring series?
I will be glad if either team can score 80 pts in a game...

Phoenix vs. Miami would have been the best...up and down, Shaq vs. Amarea, Wade vs. Nash
Even Miami against San Antonio would have been interesting with Duncan and Shaq.
Detroit vs. San Antonio? Bored now.

The Pistons finally facing a team that has all their players healthy? Easy win for the Spurs.

I'm not sure...this will finally be a series for the Spurs as they will be facing their mirror images. Two last champs going against each other. That should make for an interesting series, if not an exciting one.
Make no mistake, 'Sheed and Big Ben can easily shut down Duncan.
My money is on Detroit. They haven't played up to their potential yet whereas I don't know how much better (and boring) the Spurs can get.

The Pistons couldn't shut down injured Shaq or Jermaine O'Neal consistently, no way they'll be able to do it to Duncan. They couldn't stop Shaq in the finals last year at all. The Pistons were a fluke last year, and got lucky to face teams riddled with injuries and suspensions all through the playoffs this year. The Spurs lost on a fluke last year and don't have problems with injuries or suspensions this year.

Disagree pilight; I don't think it was luck, they were a "team" in the true sense that played to their max abilities.
I think it'll be a very good series, and the exact opposite of what the NBA wanted. I think the games will all be played in the 70s-80s range.

Kinda buggers the whole "conspiracy" thing, doesn't it?

Just to fill you all in about how these 2 teams matched up this season:
Spurs beat Pistons in S.A. 80-77
Duncan had 18 rebounds and 18 points, Detroit shot 35% from the floor
Pistons beat Spurs in Detroit 110-101
This was the game when Duncan sprained his ankle and missed 5 games. He only played 5 minutes and had 2 points and 1 rebound.
Spurs still outscored the Pistons in the paint by 50-42 margin, and they only had 9 total turnovers. It hurt not to have Duncan!
My pick-Spurs in 5

I'll say Spurs in six.
